Why we’re building this
Tell a friend you’ve moved, and the next time you talk they ask how the new place is, not whether you’ve moved. Tell them you don’t want to talk about the old neighborhood, and they leave it alone until you bring it up. When they aren’t sure what you want, they ask.
We wanted software that behaves that way, so we’re building it. It isn’t finished.
What we believe
- A good friend doesn’t take minutes.KAPEX keeps what you would want a friend to keep.
- You should be able to read what an app holds about you.KAPEX can give an app every line it holds about a person, so the app can show it to them.
- Some things should wait until you bring them up.When you ask for something to be left alone, KAPEX stops handing it to the app until you say otherwise.
- Delete should mean delete, and you should be able to see that it happened.In KAPEX a delete removes the line and leaves a record that it happened. It doesn’t do that everywhere yet, and the control page says where it falls short.
The KAPEX parts are built and tested. There’s no app you can try them in yet.
